Cross country trips are opportunities to seek adventure, experience new places, and even wax philosophic at times.  For some people, they are also a chance to engage in some hyperbolic, albeit sometimes entertaining, blogging - free of any accountability that comes from review or contradiction by others.  Such is this new thing we call social media.  Still, we can use the same tool to provide another viewpoint when necessary, leaving it up to the reader to decide for himself or herself the truth.

Check back for such a viewpoint as my brother and I drive from Los Angeles to Knoxville in 4 days, visiting four college campuses along the way and attending four major college football games that kickoff the Labor Day weekend this year.  Beware what you read on other blogs about this trip.  Rest assured that on these pages you will find the "truth in adventure".
